Our Salou guide begins here:
The beaches and coves of Salou
Salou has more than 7 km of coastline with beaches and coves of golden sand and transparent, shallow waters. The most popular and busiest beaches are in the centre of the resort and offer a multitude of services and facilities, but if it’s tranquillity you’re looking for, you’ll also find quieter, more secluded beaches just along the coast. The most centrally located beaches are: Llevant, Ponent, Capellans and Cala Llenguadets.
Sports in Salou
Salou offers a wide variety of places for enjoying sports, both indoors and outdoors: water sports on the main beaches; team sports such as volleyball, basketball and football; cycle and motocross routes, etc.
A stroll around Salou
If you enjoy walking, Salou’s for you. You’ll be spoilt for choice. There are different areas to suit all tastes. On the one hand, you have two magnificent seafront promenades, the Miramar and the Jaume I, where you’ll find all the life of the resort and most of the activities and events. If you prefer a quieter stroll along the shores of the Mediterranean, you can walk part or all of the six-kilometre coastal footpath that runs from the resort centre to the Cape of Salou and takes you through areas of unsurpassed natural beauty and impressive sea views. And if shopping’s your favourite pastime, we recommend Barcelona and Carles Buigas Streets.
One of the Costa Daurada’s greatest leisure attractions is PortAventura World, a resort in itself that includes three theme parks: PortAventura Park, Costa Caribe Aquatic Parc and Ferrari Land. Open from March to January, their thrilling rides and spectacular shows are perfect for enjoying days full of fun and excitement with family and friends. If you want to avoid the queues at the ticket office, at Topi Apartments we can arrange for you to buy your tickets in advance.
Where to eat and drink
The resort is just packed with excellent places to eat and drink to suit all tastes and pockets. One of the most pleasant places to enjoy a drink or a snack is in one of the beach bars (in the summer season) with your bare feet in the sand. Or perhaps you’ve got a better plan?
